what caller ID name is displayed when you test it using this website?
(calling from your Vonage phone to the test numbers listed on the site)

Does it come back showing your "city/state" or "unavailable" ???

Cavalier gets it right, Verizon lists Unavailable Name and the Vonage number doesn't work.

I don't get any caller id info. am i missing something? it has a table header but nothing under it.

You have to call the phone numbers listed for each carrier, then click on through for the results. The Vonage number didn't work when I tried this a few weeks ago.
