Your download pauses and turn around time are high- they're likely to cause poor service. However, let's see if we can get you functional.
If I understand, you have neither internet nor phone service. It's likely that if you can get internet service then the phone service will be fixed as well. The trick, usually, is to get the Vonage router to log on to the DSL service the way that your computer does now. I assume that the computer does connect when hooked directly to the DSL modem. Is that correct? I also assume that if you plug the computer into a LAN port on the Vonage router than you cannot get to its setup page using the address http://192.168.15.1 . Is that also correct? |

Have you set up the WAN side of the VT2442? If not, that's probably what you need to do. The best guide to this is to look at the network setup of your computer to see how it has been set up to handle this. Then configure the VT2442 to do the same thing. Then you'll probably have to reconfigure the computer to work correctly as a sub to the VT2442.
By the way, a lot of people have been through this. A search on the forum will turn up a lot of threads about configuring Vonage for various Indian services. |
