Caller ID problem with ONE phone number

A strange problem has crept up lately. I have ONE phone number that calls me (my 80 year old mom) quite frequently and the Caller ID display on the television has stopped working. All other calls display correctly, including cell phones. It's just this ONE number that won't display.

And . . . the call shows up in the call log! Both on my DirecTV call log and on the web. I've asked my mom if she has changed anything on her end, and nothing has changed at all on either of us.

What could possibly be causing this?

Have you asked your Mom if other people can see her caller ID?

Hmmm . . . difficult. I can't think of anyone else we know who even HAS Caller ID.

I think that needs to be the first step. It's the phone company for the calling party that sends the caller ID information out. It's the called party's personal equipment that receives and displays it. You have evidence that your equipment is working, so......

Do you have a cell phone with CID that your mother can call?
