I have successfully used Click2Call with Outlook 2007.
I highlight a phone # in a contacts record, press the hotkey and Click2Call dials.
I am not using the Click2Call toolbar in Outlook.
However, I get the error 'Outlook could not complete the last operation (or something similar)' many times when I click on Email folders until I reboot and remove Click2Call.
All suggestions are appreciated. |

I am a bit confused, what click2call application are you using if not the outlook toolbar?
I have Outlook 2007 and I gave up waiting and now just use the Vonage Contact book or voice dialing to make my calls. With the Vonage Contact book you can decide which number to use, it doesn't have to be your Vonage number. |

I am using this one:
http://www.vonage.ca/downloads/vonageclick2call.exe
What I mean is that I am not clicking on a toolbar in OutLook to invoke the toolbar .... I just press my hotkey.
Where do I obtain the Vonage Contact Book?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Darrell, I had that before, but like I said I use the contact book now much easier.
To get the contact book go to:
http://alpha.vonage.com
Once there you can see some new features that Vonage is testing out and Contact book is one of them.
You can also upgrade to Vonage Companion for an extra $10 a month. |

I have applied to be a 'Alpha' tester and will hopefully be accepted.
However, how can the contact book be easier than Click2Call (highlight, press hotkey)?
Also, I assume that you have to keep the Vonage Contact book syncronized with Outlook. That would be another step when modifications are made in Outlook.
I am definately open to suggestions .

I use the Click-To-Call with ContactBook also. What differentiates the two is that Click-2-Call allows you to highlite any number, on a web page for example, hit F6 on your keyboard and the number is dialed for you. (This also includes international numbers). With ContactBook Click-To-Call, you have to be signed in to ContactBook and the number has to be listed in your ContactBook. |

I downloaded click2call again and will see how it works out. I agree that the contact book for Vonage can be a few more steps, but it does let you call from any number not just your Vonage number. |
