Ummm I embarrasingly don't know. I doubt it will work with another phone though, which is likely my luck. It is a VTech 5.8 Digital Broadband Phone. |

IP 8100-1 is what it lists under the model #. Thanks for all the help, Steve  |

OK, you're right. That's a Voip phone, with the Vonage adapter built in. You can't use another one. You need to make sure that the batteries and so forth are in good shape, or that may cause the problems you're having. Also, you might want to try it on someone else's broadband internet service to see if it has problems that way. |

Arg that figures. Well thanks again. I will try when I get a chance with another service and if it still acts up I know it's the equipment or phone (or battery) Do you know offhand about how much a battery costs? |

I'm afraid not.
To be honest, if fixing this costs very much I'd be tempted to dump that phone and get a simple Vonage adapter. Then you can plug any phone you like into it. |
