I first got
Vonage
in 2003. It was not as good today. Often time it would sound choppy like a cell phone getting losing signal. I had times when it just wasn't good enough. It has been great during the last three years. I think it is a combination of my ISP, Comcast, having better service and
Vonage
must have done improvements. I had
Vonage
only for my home office and fax. We replaced our Verizon land line with
Vonage
a year ago and the quality, to me, is not discernable from the land line phone.
I don't have my system configured with QoS. The
Vonage
router is behind my Linksys WRT300 router. i also have a
Vonage
D-Link unit that is plugged into the same Linksys router. I also do huge uploads and download to our corporate servers and I never have any problem using the
Vonage
service while I am doing this.

Post subject: Vonage Better
I am one of the lucky ones. I just plugged in my
Vonage
Device and
the rest is history. It worked like a charm from the first call on. Time Warner offers phone service for $39.99 plus International charges, Verizon Fios also charges for International calls.
Vonage
is FREE.
