T-Mobile is currently offering me local and long distance phone service at $10 per month.
Is there any reason to stay with Vonage? |

I don't think there is any time limit on it. I heard on the news that T-Mobile is using this a a "loss leader" to retain customers they have. There is so much jumping around from cell carrier to carrier they figured this was the way to hook people and have them remain T-Mobile customers. The only caveat is that you need to have a $39.99 plan or higher with them. Still not bad as most of us already have that. Once my yearly contract with Vonage is up I think I am going to jump ship and save myself $180 a year! Unless of course Vonage is going to match the $10 rate. |

is this an additional $10/month on top of your $39.99/month plan thus totalling $49.99/month? Your first post was not very clear. |

That is correct. To get the $10 month home phone service (which you need a broadband connection for) you have to be on a $39.99 cell phone plan.
You should go to T-Mobiles website to get all the correct information and details of the plan. |

Me either. I do have T-mobile for cell phone service, but it's prepaid and averages $9/month with my level of usage. No way that I can beat that plus the Vonage $15 plan (even with the Vonage add-ons). |

Its also worth noting that T-Mobile charges the same rates for international calls from their Voip service as their mobile service. Canada is 20 cents per minute, UK 34 cents, etc. If you make even a moderate amount of international calls, especially to the locations Vonage includes, its no deal at all. |

Heres is what I have gathered from reading the T-Mobile site.
Vonage offers unlimited calling to the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and 5 countries in Europe. @Home only allows you to call inside the United States. While you can use a fax machine with your Vonage service, fax services are not supported with @Home. T – Mobile charges a disconnection fee of $200.00 if you decide to cancel your service before the 2 year contact is completed. With Vonage you receive over 25 features for free. @Home only offers 5 basic features and does not have important features like Network Availability. Network Availability will automatically route your calls to another phone when your internet is down. he Price: $10 monthly fee with a 2-year contract. The offer is only available to existing T-Mobile customers who have the Standard Mobile subscription plan costing $39.99, the FamilyTime mobile subscription plan costing $49.99 and customers who have broadband in their homes. I am a T-Mobile cell customer as well as a Vonage unlimited premium customer. Though the price is appealing, I don't like having only one phone connected and the loss of the main features. |

that sounds excessive. is there a money back guarantee period? It makes no sense if you have a lousy ISP. |
