1. Bethesda, Maryland 2. Comcast cable 3. Upload speed 1420 kpbs, download speed 5857 kpbs 4. RCA modem Model DCM425C 5. UIP 1869V 6. Modem--->NetGear Router--->Vonage base 7. I can make outgoing calls with no problems, but when I receive an incoming call, I can hear the person but they can't hear me. This problem exists on my base and both of my handsets. Its inexplicable that after all this time this would suddenly start occurring. I have made no changes to my router, ISP or setup. I even purchased a brand new handset thinking it was an equipment failure, but the problem still exists. 8. I don't see anything wrong in your Voip test.
What kind of Netgear router, Vonage adapter, and telephone set are you using? |

yeah I concur. it must be some kind of configuration issue b/w router and your Vonage device. |

Yeah except kdf55 wrote:

I would take the Netgear router out of the mix and connect the Vonage device directly to the Cable Modem and test an incoming phone call. |

maybe there was some kind of firmware upgrade that is causing a change in configuration to either router or to the Vonage device. something has changed whether intentionally or unintentionally. |

I agree, taking the netgear router out of the mix could help point him to the problem. |
