Post subject: Internet Not working when talking on Vonage Phone
I have
Vonage
connection with Liksys RT31P2 router. Whenever we get a call or if we call from
Vonage
phone, our internet connectivity is lost. We cant connect to net using PC until phone is disconnected.
this is how my connection is setup
AT&T DSL phone wire --> AT&T Wirless Router -->
Vonage
Linksys phone adaptor.
I had the same problem when I was using Belkin wireless. I don't know how to fix this?

Don't use 2.4 ghz wireless networking at the same time as a 2.4 ghz wireless phone. They will interfere. Try a wired phone. I bet it works fine.

first thing to check is to make sure you are not using 2.4 ghz phones as it will interfere. So one check would be to use a corded phone and if the phone call is active and you have internet capability on your computers, then we know that it is interference.
Second thing to check is to see if your wireless router has any QoS capabilities. If it does, I would enable it and give your
Vonage
device the highest priority while lowering the priority on the rest of devices. This would give you better phone quality in the long run.
