Well I received my router yesterday. I have a wireless router for my laptop. I stacked both routers and connected them with a crossover cable. Everything is working out great. Sound quality is great and no lag or "underwater" sounds at all. I'm really luv'n Vonage. Next thing to try is hooking the router to the phone box on the outside of the house to utilize all the phones in my house. Has anyone done this yet? Thanks |

I also am interested in hearing an answer to 87XJ's question. But can't you also simply plug the phone line from the Vonage adapter directly into a phone jack in your wall, which will in essence "active" all the other ports in the house? |

You're right, citron. BUT make sure TELCO is disconnected from the outside demarcation box. If not, you will "toast" your Vonage box.

I followed the instructions from Vonage http://www.vonage.com/help_knowledgeBase_article.php?category=45&article=649 -- working great! All it took me (weekend warrior home improvement type) was about 20 minutes start to finish. |

Citron, the phone cord coming from my Motorola adaptor is connected to a wall jack, and all the phones in the house plug into my existing wall jacks so that any phone can use Vonage. Kinda funny, but I've been pretty geeked about it! :) |
