Where do I start?

1. I have been with Vonage since 2006, and everything was great until 2008. The call quality became lousy. I even got a new device hoping that it might help. I have comcast 8mb/768kb so that is definately fast enough. I even turned off all my computers to make sure they weren't hogging bandwidth. I have no firewall turned on in my router either. Call quality is very poor. Choppy sound, delays, etc. It is 10 times worse with overseas calls, and even worse than that with an overseas cell phone. I have had up to 10 second delays. Often the calls don't even go thru.

Recently, I have been calling my family in Israel, and it rings in Japan. I know I didn't dial the wrong number because I hit redial and then it works. This happens all the time. Today I can't call at all, because every time it goes to Japan.

Last week I called Vonage, and they promissed me that they would fix it and update me by monday. Well today is already saturday and nobody fixed it or updated me. I called them again only to get some outsourced employee that wasn't able to do anything.

The only reason that I haven't cancelled is because Vonage is giving me unlimited international calls to Israel.

I used to think Vonage was great, but now I can't stand them anymore.

Nice answer! Instead of maybe trying to solve the problem.

I would do a speed test with the Vonage device connected and without, I would say it is an ISP issue.

The problem is on vonage's end. I brought my device to a friends house and the same problem. I did speed tests and have very good speed.
When I call Israel, it shouldn't ring in Japan. That has nothing to do with speed.
I appreciate the response though.

I would call back again and see what they say this time, you are correct it is a Vonage issue when you call one country and you get another one.

I would have....BUT you come in here with your FIRST post announcing you're going back to AT&T !

You wrote your post like a rant....NOT as if you're looking for help for your Vonage problem !

You're the one who said you can't stand Vonage !

That doesn't read like your're looking for help !

Yeah, it is a rant. Thats what happens when I call Vonage and somebody in India answers me that has no clue what they are doing. When I asked to be transfered to someone in the US, I get transfered to someone in the Phillipenes who also has no clue.

All Vonage is effected by the same problem I have. Try calling this number in Israel:
011-972-3-971-1111
Don't worry, you won't bother anyone, it is the automated arrivals and departures phone number for the airport.
You will get a recording in Japanese. This is the same for every landline number in Israel.

Call this number, it is for Vonage Canada, and I haven't had a problem with the language.

877-272-0528, oh and I don't think Vonage has a tech support in the Philippines.

Vonage has three (3) call centers in Philippines:
1) Quezon City - Primarily for Billing
2) Cebu - Sales?
3) Makati City - Tech Support

Have a nice day.
