I see the UK service uses the Linksys RT31P2 adaptor , I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the following :
1) Does it send out the ac ring signal on another pin (i.e. other than the middle pair) so that by using a suitably wired Line Jack convertor (possibly the one supplied by Vonage) the ring signal can be routed to pin 3 on the UK phones. From bitter experience I have found that most UK spec phones will not respond to a ring signal on the main signal pair, they only respond to a ring signal on pin 3.
2) Is the Caller ID standard determined by the RT31P2 or is that something that comes from the Vonage exchange and simply passes through the RT31P2. I ask because again from bitter experience I found that the UK Caller ID system is different from most of the rest of the world !
