Our phone and internet works fine except when my kids play toontown online. It will work for a minute and then drop them out. I did not have this problem until I hooked up Vonage. The power light on the Vonage D-link device blinks green and the phone light isn't on unless we are using the phone. We have DSL internet using an AT&T 2wire modem.

You will probably need to set up port forarding to the PC - according to http://www.massively.com/2008/01/10/how-to-make-toontown-work-with-your-router/ in order to have continuous play on ToonTown you must set the Port Triggering for ports 6112 and 6667 on your router setup.

I assume you are connecting through your d-link device, which has settings for port forwarding (see the manual at http://www.vonage.com/help.php?article=1099&category=93&nav=5 )

I did the port forwarding on the Vonage device and then on my 2wire modem. I am still having trouble. I also dropped the MTU setting to 1300. Can you think of anything else I can do? I forgot to mention that I am on a Mac if that makes any difference.

Some routers have a feature called QoS (Quality of Service) where you can give one application priority over others when each application is being used at the same time. With QoS, you can designate which application is prioritized with your available bandwidth. When all three applications (kids playing online games, internet surfing and phone usage) are being used at the same time and if no one application is given priority over the others with the available bandwidth, you can encounter the current issue you are experiencing now. Applications that are of a time sensitive nature should be awarded the highest priority.
