Is there a way of having the caller id pop up on my computer ? I have used a program called netpop and a modem that is able to recognize caller id...

A product named PhoneValet works with
Vonage
(or your POTS line).
It is awesome. I have been using PhoneValet for a year now, about the same time I started using
Vonage
. I setup a web page, that describes what you can do with PhoneValet at:

Vonage
sends the CallerID information over your phone line, so any method that works for a landline should work with
Vonage
as well.
I'm using this free program with my ordinary modem, plugged into the
Vonage
line:

I don't think the AnalogX software will work with
Vonage
. At least I haven't been able to get it to work, no matter what device I choose
