Has anyone ever tried plugging their Vonage ADA into the ethernet jack of the XBox WiFi adapter? This could be an excellent way to use Vonage while traveling. Especially if you are staying in hotels where they have a WiFi connection. If the Microsoft XBox WiFi router will work with Vonage, you've got it made.

If anyone has tried this, please let me know. I'd definitely buy an XBox WiFi device, even though I do not have the XBox game. I would be strictly using it to communicate over a WiFi in a hotel with Vonage via the ethernet cable.

I too have had the same issues. I am using a linksys adapter from Vonage & a Motorola surfboard modem with Time Warner Cable (roadrunner). I was also un able to connect my adapter to my wireless linksys router so I instead ran it the other way around which worked. I do beleive you may be able to run a different router first, however, by telling your first router what port & what to allow (type in your router IP address in the web address bar) THis should tke you to a setup screen for your router & allow you to enable or dedicate certain paths. In any event, I hope the issue is fixed soon. I have tried calling Vonage but to no avail. One guy (obviously from India or there abouts) didn't even know what an Xbox was. The guy he transfered me to did a little better but I can hardly understand what the heck they are saying! No offense but that is a vital part of customer service!!!!

I just played Xbox Live for the first time tonight since getting Vonage, and I had constant disconnections while playing Far Cry and Top Spin. Is everyone having problems with Halo 2 because there's something special about that game, or is it just because that's what most people play on Live?

If I wanted to try reversing the order of my router and my Motorola Vonage box, could anybody help with the ports I'd need to forward on the router?

I'm with Cyrano ... can anyone post the ports that need to be forwarded for Vonage to work when using Vonage after another router?

Also, can anyone post the ports used for xbox live? maybe specifying the ports in the 1st router to go directly to each device my eleviate the issue.

Also, do you plug the 1st router into the Vonage router/adapter WAN port or 1234 port?

Cyrano: It sounds like the main issue is with using Voice over Xbox Live. I only play Halo2 over live, so I can't account for any other games.

I've played other games successfully with my 360 also ... I only have problems when playing Halo2.
