I am looking into a solution for dialing phone numbers directly from web pages by clicking them without having the need of staring at the monitor while punching the numbers into my phone.

There is an firefox 2.x extension called "click2call", but it is not compatible with firefox 3.0. It is also designed to work with CISCO IP telephony.

The dialing itself might be done with a script (i.e. Greasemonkey), but I don't know if Vonage supports these kind of things.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Vonage has an alpha program - contact book - which includes a click to call. You need to have an online Vonage account and you can sign up here.

Vonage has a program that you can download to your PC called Click-2-Call. Not to be confused with ContactBook Click-To-Call that kdf55 was referring to. With Click-2-Call, use your mouse to simply highlight the phone number on a web page or from any where on your PC where you may have stored phone numbers, press F6 on your keyboard and the number will be automatically dialed for you from your Vonage phone. Your Vonage phone will automatically ring, you answer your phone and the call will be connected. You can even do this with international numbers. Here's a link to the download page: http://www.vonage.com/features.php?feature=click_2_call&refer_id=WEBFT0706010001W1

Thanks Darrell_G,

I remember playing with call2call before and uninstalled it because it did not quit the call properly.

I re-installed it today and will give it a try.

Thanks both of you for your support!
