Hi, I am not very good at computers, I installed Vonage in my home and was to easy. Right now I am in Hong Kong, and wanted to connect my Vonage, but dont know how. I dont know the diferent types of Internet connections, I am just staying in a hotel, with out wireless... the Internet is in the wall, where I connect my computer with no problems. Can someone tell me how to connect it properly... I tried once, by simply connecting in the Internet port, and it said it was unable to connect to the Vonage Network, also I didnt have Internet in my computer anymore. If someone can help me, I would be so happy!! Thank you!!
Sandy, what does the network setup on your computer look like? Are you using any kind of login procedures provided by the hotel?
If you plug the computer into the VT1005, are you able to get to the admin page for the VT1005? Are you able to run the forum Voip speed test from your computer when it's plugged directly into the hotel service and the internet is working?
