J- Darrell is right. Something is seriously odd here with your inability to run your computer directly from your modem. Vonage should not have caused that. Also, your test results are not very good. You have high jitter, and it's very strange that your download speed is less than your upload speed. Get with your ISP and work the issue of getting your computer to work with your modem directly, and at proper speeds. Then revisit the issue of getting good speed through the Vonage router.

I got the modem to work but it's still slow.
So I would have to call my ISP to figure out why it's so slow.

Go to this site http://speakeasy.net and run the speed test using a server closest to you. From the test results you posted, your download speed is not what it should be. Matter of fact, your upload speed was greater than your download. You should contact Comcast about this and let them know you're not getting the advertised download speed.

Your speeds look good from that test result. You have a download speed of 8.5 Mbps and upload speed of 2.4 Mbps. Is your cable modem connected by ethernet cable or a usb cable?

An ethernet connection provides a faster connection compared to a usb connection. Is your web browsing still slow?

Delete all temp internet files and clear your history in your web browser. If youir browsing is still slow, you should contact Comcast about this issue.
