Post subject: VPN will not work with Dlink VWR router
I upgraded my Dlink 524 router to a new
Vonage
VWR router (made by Dlink). I am able to get on the internet, but can;'t log onto my works VPN. To be sure I disconnected the VWR and reconnect the old 524 and logged on to the VPN without any problem.
Are there special settings on the VWR that need to be set to get the VPN to work? My company uses Contivity.

You need to enable port 500 (UDP). Also, check you PC"s firewall. See the following thread:

Post subject: SSL VPN
Ok this is how my setup is..
I have heard alot of users complain there vpn setup does not work however based upon my test it is clear that comcast is using different network for different modem's i assume to be able to manage bandwith.
67.186.85.x <--With
Vonage
modem
24.12.241.X <--Without
Vonage
Modem
Are the ip addresses i was receiving with or without modem
If you put the
Vonage
modem behind your regular router and on your regular router enable Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) this should work.
Cable Modem-->DLink Router -->Vonage Modem..
My P.C's are hooked up to Dlink..Nothing is on the
Vonage
Router.
So basically the
Vonage
router is obtaining an ip address from the Dlink router not from internet.
