I have several Vonage lines connected to a Panasonic key/PBX office system. I use the ATA devices supplied by Vonage, and plug them directly into the CO ports on the Panasonic switch. |

I know I haven't been around in a while, but still, that response is not helpful. Vonage NEVER officially supported VoIP PBX products, but mine still works fine. You can't call them and get tech support on it, but it works if you set it up right. |

Yes Vonage did offer the SMB+ accounts which were resold through Vonage authorized VAR's. This program started in 2004 and was terminated June 2008. These accounts were special as Vonage was just selling 4, 8, 16, and 24 line plans along with minutes to go with them. The SIP credentials were released to the customer so that they could run any hardware or software based PBX they wanted. However, this only suited true businesses as the price started at $149 a month for 4 lines rated at 8000 outbound minutes total per account not per line.
It was not directly marketed through Vonage and Customer Care did not even know about these plans as they did not support them. And only employees that were around since 2004 know they exist. The VAR's signed the customers and supported the customer from the initial install to any hardware, software, or configuration issues. Support from Vonage is performed by a higher level Engineering team for service issues. |

Thats not exactly true, I knew about VAR accounts when I worked there. People here aren't talking about VAR accounts because VAR accounts are typically rebranded for the reseller. |

You reopened a thread that was last commented almost 6 months ago. The topic was PBX for small business which is a VAR account. VAR accounts were never rebranded. They were sold as Vonage VAR. And your response to Dingus was that Vonage never officially supported VoIP PBX products.
The SMB+ VAR accounts were official and were supported by Vonage just not Tech Support or Customer Care. This included authorized IP PBX's from AudioCodes, Quintum, Epygi, Cisco Call Manager, and of course Asterisk. |
