Post subject: Vonage customers can no longer call me
I was previously a Vonage customer and was very happy with the service (until trying to cancel it, which is an entirely different story) However when I switched to my new service all of my friends who are still with vonage can no longer call my number. I called Vonage support they were unable to help. Has anyone else experienced this?

some time when u move your phone number to a new carrier, the number might be still in the database of the old carrier> if this happens, when ur friend calls from their vonage phone they might get a message number not in service.
U need to contact ur old carrier(vonage) & ask them to have your number removed from vonage database

I have not experienced it, but I have heard of this before.
There should be something that Vonage needs to update to fix it. Don't know the exact problem but if I remember correctly it has something to do with the fact that Vonage to Vonage calls route differently. (internal routing vs. external routing for calls)
Unfortunately I believe that you have to get Vonage support to fix this.
