For about three weeks I have been able to hear incoming audio, but outgoing audio only works intermittently.
If this isn't something that I can fix, I'm going to have to get rid of my service. I've had nothing but trouble since I set it up.
1. Location: Chicago
2. Comcast Cable ISP
3. Upload and download speeds: see below
4. Modem make and model: Motorola SB 5120
5. Type of Vonage adapter: VDV21
6. Setup of Network: Modem----> Vonage Adapter--> Mac

I ran the test again without the vonage adaptor, and I got the following (better) results.

Upload speed: 856744 bps
Quality of service: 51 %
Download test type: socket

Maximum download pause: 61 ms
Average download pause: 2 ms
Minimum round trip time to server: 43 ms
Average round trip time to server: 45 ms

The results without the Vonage device certainly are much better, but the packet loss you to server is still suspiciously high. Try running the test a few more times without the Vonage device and see if the results are consistent. You may also want to try the test at www.testyourvoip.com, test call to Boston. |

I had the exact sample problem on and off for way too long a time. Turned out it was my cordless phone not Vonage. |
