My Internet connections are slow. My ISP is TimeWarner/Adelphia. My router is Motorola VT2442. I have XP Home.

I would like to try OpenDNS (www.opendns.com). I think I understand that I need to put the OpenDNS nameservers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in router SETUP – WAN Configuration – Type: Static – DNS 1 & 2. But when I do this, I'm asked for a mask, and I have no idea what to put there, and I might also be asked (although I do not know) for a Gateway and, lo and behold, and IP Address. What would I put there?

Am I on the right track? Has anyone done this? Does anyone have any tips? Seems like this is difficult, even for OpenDNS, who I have asked, but they do not seem to know VT2442.

Help would be great. Thanks!
