My main phone number is in Calgary, AB. I have a virtual phone number in Tooele, UT. Mother in law calls it, it has been working great for the past 8 months.
This last month however, long distance charges have shown up on her phone bill when calling this virtual number. Additionally my "real" Vonage number is what shows up on the bill, not the local virtual number.
My mother in law has only ever called the local number and the "local" number is still infact local.
Anyone encountered this? The other phone company involved is Qwest, and they're totally unhelpful. Say the number called was the direct number, not my virtual number.
Thanks |

If she is dialing the virtual number and the virtual number is local, she should not be billed. I would definitely speak with someone in Vonage billing and Qwest billing regarding this issue...that's the only way you are going to get this corrected. |

Yup I agree, gotta call and ask whats going on. We have the reverse. We are in the US and have a virtual number in toronto, but the calling party has never been charged long distance. |

I would get Vonage tech support involved. They can put the line in debug and see what is going on and then address it with qwest. |
