Post subject: Vonage VTA - Out of Range message
Hi.
I have been using
Vonage
VTA-CVR system successfully for last 3 months. It is a 3 handset expandable system.
Suddenly, I have been receiving a constant "Out of Range" error on my handset. I have handset being charged on the base station however, the error does not go away. I tried calling to the number from my mobile. I hear rings in my mobile but do not hear any rings in
Vonage
system.
I have a router connected in between the DSL modem and
Vonage
system. Internet is working fine. I have power cycled router and
Vonage
phone system. I called
Vonage
technical support but that was of no help.
Please help me on how can I reset the out of range message and start using the system again?
Update
: The phone is VTA-CVR. One of the tech. rep told me to register the phone to synchronize with base station. I tried registering and it says "Registration failed". Is this a correct approach? Do I first need to de-register and then register? What are the correct steps to de-register and register? Thanks.
Thanks.

According to a post in this forum:
"To register the new dect 6.0
Vonage
phone to the system you have to go to the register screen on the new phone and press 1 for yes. Then you have to hold the page button on the main base station for 5 sec. This is the one that has the two buttons on it. Once the phone syncs press the menu button on that phone. Thats it!"
