I have my Vonage line set to Simulring my mobile phone.
I tried the clever idea of dialing *67-1-(my Vonage number) from my Verizon Wireless mobile phone. While it did not launch me into my mailbox access as usual (Please enter your PIN...), instead it immediately started my mobile phone's outgoing greeting.
I'd hoped that I would get a call waiting tone on my mobile phone, however it seems that does not happen because I'm in process of placing an outgoing call when the Simulring calls me back. I hope that makes sense.
I, too, like the idea of allowing a user to exclude their Simulring number....
So as stated in my previous post, this functionality is now present. If you call from a number (i.e. cellphone) to your Vonage line and the Vonage line has simulring to said number (i.e. cellphone), the call will ring through to the Vonage line and the cell voicemail will not pick up as the call will not be sent to the cellphone at all.
The simulring fix was unexpected and works great! My wife called home the other night, I expected the phone to only ring once as usual, but it rang twice and I picked up to her surprise. She said "did you disable simulring on my phone". Nope...
