I am getting the Canadian Employee Plan rate, that is what it says on my account. I get $8 off the listed price. I called and asked for a better rate after my first year of service was completed. |

I am not an employee at any of those stores, I just called and asked for a better deal after being a Vonage customer for a year. I never got any of the free months worth of service though.
I called Vonage Canada the other day and told them I know a guy (actually read about the offer on here) that is only paying $24.99 for the unlimited package ($39.99 in Canada), he told me, no problem sir I can offer you that deal and there is no charge for switching plans. |

Interesting. When I signed up for the Employee Accommodation Plan in December the offer was for the first 6 months free, and $9.99/mo. thereafter. Needless to say I jumped all over it.
I pasted some of the text from the original application below:
VONAGE U.S.A. RETAIL EMPLOYEE APPLICATION
FOR SIX MONTH FREE/ $9.99 THEREAFTER OFFER
STEPS FOR QUALIFICATION:
1) PURCHASE DEVICE OF YOUR CHOICE AT THE LOCATION YOU WORK AT. ***NOTE: YOU ARE STILL ELIGIBLE FOR ANY REBATE OFFERED AT TIME OF PURCHASE.
2) ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT AT WWW.VONAGE.COM/ACTIVATE or In-Store if applicable. *** VALID CREDIT/DEBIT CARD REQUIRED TO ACTIVATE SERVICE.
3) FILL IN THIS FORM IN ITS ENTIRETY AND SUBMIT TO RETAILERPLAN@VONAGE.COM NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS AFTER ACTIVATION!
4) START ENJOYING YOUR SIX MONTHS FREE and $9.99/month thereafter for the Premium Unlimited Plan, COURTESY OF VONAGE!

Sounds like a great plan, but you have to be an employee at one of those stores so that would be a $30,000 pay cut so no savings for me. |
