2 weeks is not unheard of. Check your dashboard for updates. |

10 days if no problems are encountered during transfer.
Some issues that can cause delay (rejection) are features that may be active on the line so ensure the number/line has all features removed. |

Thanks! I hope my transfer will go as fast as that...
I assume once Verizon receives the tranfer order, they will
disconnect my account? I'll only have to pay them whatever
remaning balance is, right?
Thanks again! |

Yes, they disconnect the account and will send final bill. |

Before you go through the port make sure you have removed all features associated with the number including DSL (if there is one).If thats not interrupting the port should take no more than 10 days.

I still haven't found of if the "PIC-FREEZE" on my landline will cause
problems when Verizon receives the transfer request from Vonage.
"PIC FREEZE" is supposed to only block the change in long distance
carriers.
This Verizon landline currently only has flat rate local calling. I had
removed long distance calling from this line. In fact, it cannot reach
any number that starts with "1" at all(including 1-800- numbers)
I think I'm just gonna leave everything alone and see what happens
in a few days... if the PIC FREEZE causes Verizon to not release
the number, then I'll have to deal with them later....
Thanks! |
