Hi, my modem and wireless router had to be installed in my utility room, where I do not want my phone to be hooked up. Is there a way to hook up the Vonage device wirelessly in another room where I want my phone hooked up? I was told I could use a wireless access point. Can somebody please help me out???
Thanks! |

A wireless bridge MAY work, but I would look at possiblity of running phone wire to where you want your phone.
If you use a wireless bridge, get the kind that receives wireless and outputs to ethernet. Your Vonage device would hook to that, your phone to the Vonage device.
My concern is that the wireless bridge does not relay (retransmit) a packet until it is completely received. Not sure if this would introduce latency. |

is there any way to get your modem out of your utility room? that is, do you have cable or dsl? I guess i'm not sure why it has to be in your utility room.
or, if you have a phone plug nearby the utility room, you can also connect your Vonage there and use your home wiring.
just some thoughts here. |
