Did anyone besides me notice that Chevy's newest commercials use the same music? |

Woo Hoo was originally recorded in 1959 by a band called the Rock-A-Teens. The Revillos ripped it off and didn't even give the original writers any credit. The 5,6,7,8's version is a cover and not an original. |

I figured I'd post a little more information pertaining to the song in kill bill. It seems Quintin Tarantino was on vacation in Japan before filming Kill Bill. He saw the 5678's playing and had to have them in an upcoming film. He wrote a role into Kill Bill especially for them. |

Thats the unfortunate thing about the marketing world. The song is perfect for advertising 'cuz it sticks in your head. I think you'll be hearing it in all kinds of ad spots for a while...... |

| Quote: | | There is a widely held perception that as long as a commercial grabs attention, it does not matter if that attention is positive or negative. The Vonage commercial certainly grabs attention. It actually has been the source of conversation at my workplace. The reaction of my co-workers however, has been universally negative. Many liken it to running your fingernails across a chalkboard. One lady keeps her remote with her so she can change the channel the minute it comes on. Interestingly, only one person besides myself, knew what Vonage even was. They just said it was terribly annoying. |
