If I'm receiving a fax and the phone rings, goodbye fax AND I won't be able to answer the call. If I'm talking on the phone and the fax rings, goodbye phone call and fax. Frustrating to say the least. We have comcast cable service. We have the VWR-VD from Vonage. Any ideas? |

Post the technical data that is requested in the sticky at the top of the forum (What to post when having technical difficulties). It can help tell why you are having problems. |

Do you have two phone lines, one for voice and one for fax? |

Yes, we have two lines with Vonage. Phone 1 and Phone 2 lights on our D-Link unit. The worst part is, we can't even receive more than about a 3-page fax or it craps out in the middle. 98% of the time I have to tell people to fax to my home instead. |

Try reducing your Fax speed to 9600 Baud. You may also wish to disable ECM. |

Just as an addition to what ed said, make sure your resolution is set to standard. |

Make sure that the telephone cords you are using to connect to your VWR are only single line cords. If you look at the clear plastic connector at the end of the cords, you should only see 2 metal pins. If you are using cords with 4 pins (a 2 line phone cord) you are likely bridging the two lines together somewhere (possibly through a telephone set or your fax machine) and when you try to use the other line, you're creating a short. |
