when I signed up for Vonage recently, I let Vonage assigne me a local number... (since I wanted to try it out first)
now I'm thinking about keeping Vonage and porting my home phone number(Verizon landline) to this Vonage account.
how do I go about doing this? I didnt' find anything on the Vonage website, under my account, for doing this...
Thanks for your help! |

Hmm, I think it used to be under "add a virtual number", but it's not there now - you may want to call customer service and ask. |

Go to "Add Ons" sections and and "Add an Additional Line". Pick the plan and whether you want to have the line on the same device or a new one. The next screen will say do you want to keep your number which is the option you should choose. |

whatumean -
That will add the new number as a completely separate Vonage line, incurring another monthly charge and two phone lines.
That works, but I assumed kiersten wanted to add the number as a virtual #. |

When she "first" signed up with Vonage, she had the option to transfer or port her existing number from Verizon to Vonage. I don't believe she can do this via online now...she will have to make a call to Vonage support to make that request now. If I'm understanding her correctly, she wants to replace her local number or virtual number that Vonage assigned her with her Verizon landline number. Kiersten, check this link http://www.vonage.com/features.php?feature=lnp&refer_id=WEBFT0706010001W1 and enter your Verizon number to see if you can keep your current number you want ported to Vonage. |

Upon further review, there is a way you can transfer your Verizon number to your Vonage account via online. Login to your Vonage web account, click on the "Billing" tab. Under "Billing Features" select "Change your phone number" and proceed from there. |
