Post subject: Intermittent garbled / choppy audio
Hi - I've been having recent issues with intermittent garbled audio, mostly the other party complains, but sometimes their voice can't be heard by me either. The problems occur infrequently, so it is hard to make a change and see the effect; but they still occur often enough to be bothersome.
Here is my setup:
cable modem -> HBB1 -> Airlink 300N router -> Linksys pap
The airlink has an "auto" QOS, should I use that and remove the HBB1? How about port forwarding, should I try that?
Or are there some other settings I should use to improve audio quality?
(I have the bandwidth saver on at 50)
Here are my numbers (note that I get a wide range of numbers for QoS - anywhere from 2% to 98%):
