I had the RTP300 for 2 years, no static at all, it broke last week, bought the dlink VTA-VR, now I have static on the phone. The other callers say they don't hear it, but I do.
It's the same exact setup as before, except for the Vonage device. I think I may bite the bullet and spend more $ again to get the RTP300.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Have you tried different cables? Ethernet and phone. You could also try switching your line to port 2. I've used the VTA for a couple years with no static problems. |

Also, if you're using house wiring, disconnect from it and see what happens. The VTA should work as well for you as the RTP in the same network setup. |

Thanks for the help guys, but nothing worked. I still have static, changed the phone wires, put it in phone port 2, changed ethernet wires. Nothing seemed to work.
I'm waiting on the RTP 300, to arrive, hopefully that will work. I have the panasonic DECT 6.0 phone, it worked perfect with the RTP 300.
I shall keep you informed.
THank you. |
