Have you called Vonage Canada to see if you can get a better rate? I called last year around November and I got my rate reduced to $31.99. Weird how a new customer got their rate to $24.99 |

I spent one full day talking to Vonage Office in Canada and then the US Office. They declined to give me any break. In fact I called Vonage the day this friend got $24.99 Rate for Canadian Unlimited Residential Plan, they told me that no such rate was ever given to a subscriber.
Recently, I managed to get a copy of their Invoice for $24.99. So I called Vonage again and spoke with different levels of staff and a few account managers but they kept saying that was a promotion. I know that there has been no promotion for Canadian subscribers.
Look at the monthly subscription of US subscribers. It is $24.99 since beginning and with Canadian Dollar almost equal and sometimes more in Value, the Canadian Subscribers are still paying $39.99.
I have referred many friends to use Vonage and always spoke high about Vonage but they now want me to believe that no such rate was ever offered to any subscriber except for when their was a promotion. For loyal customers of Vonage, who have gone through the unstable service periods and teething issues of the company, they have nothing to offer except wasting their time and doing injustice.
I need to hear from anyone who could tell that there was even a short period when Vonage offered promotion to Canadian Subscribers of Unlimited Residential Canadian Plan.
I know that Vonage would give this rate to a new subscriber when someone declines to accept the service unless this $24.99 per month rate is offered. |

My year came up at the end of December 07. I called to cancel my service and they offered me the "$24.99 Canadian Residential Premium Unlimited Plan". This is a quote right off my current invoice. |

I will call them today after work and will quote that reference, that is $7.00 a month cheaper then what I am paying. Thanks for information, I will post back tonight what they say. |

Why do you say it is only $7 Cheaper. In my case I am paying $15 more than what others are paying per month and that also for more than 3 years now. I have stopped referring friends to Vonage.
Please do let me know what they say in your case. |

Hi Rutter,
I spent one full day talking with different levels of Management at Vonage. The end result was "that was a promotion" and I can't get the same offer. |

Just got mine reduced. I called the number, pressed 1 for English and then option 2 about billing and then chose cancel. I told the guy that a buddy of mine is only paying $24.99 a month for the unlimited plan and I would like to have the same offer. He said no problem sir, I can offer you that plan, and I won't charge you for changing your plan!
Won't be long, we will be getting this for free! |
