A friend that I referred to Vonage Service Got $24.99 rate for Canadian Residential Premium Unlimited Plan while I paid $39.99 for more than three years

I was at one higher priced plan (like yours) and then I wanted to cancel and they dropped it to $24.99.
I then was ready to change my family's phone over and they agreed on the price but then the "accounting dept" said that this was a mistake by a staff member and that it would have to be $39.99.
I left 3 messages and they never got back to me which indicated that they were wrong and just wanted the problem to go away.

I keep my $24.99 but my family still uses ma Bell and I will wait for other VoIP companies in Canada to put the pressure on to be competitve and this will bring Vonage prices down from $39.99 a month.

I was told I was lucky due to the "promotion"...

Yea, always start with "cancel" ..and they will ask why. You can proceed to state the reason. Most of the times they will try to work something out and keep you happy!
