I just got and installed Vonage. I can hear people clearly on my end, but I was told that they can hear every other word, like stutter.
Now my
1. I'm in Palmer, MA
2.Comcast cable
3. Copy of the speed test

Speed test statistics

9. And it's on the other end of the room, away from the adapter.

Hmm. Your test results aren't stellar, but they don't explain outgoing phone quality as poor as you describe. I'd start troubleshooting by running another test at www.testyourvoip.com (test call to Boston). Please post those detailed results. Also, try substituting a simple corded phone for your cordless. If you're using house wiring, disconnect it and plug the phone directly into the Vonage box.

After running that test, my score is 4.4 My phone is plugged in directly into Vonage adapter. The only thing left i guess is to try cord phone.

Yes, that's a good score. Do you get the same score in both directions (from Boston to you and from you to Boston)?

When you are on the phone, do you ever have something running that may be using your Internet connection doing any sort of uploads? P2P / BitTorrent / uploading to an FTP server?

Be sure you run the Voip speed test under the same circumstances you are using when you make your phone calls, or try having your Vonage line itself be the only thing on your network when you make a test call.

Remember - if you have a wireless network that is open or running WEP encryption (which is not very secure), you also may have someone else running a P2P client without you knowing it...

Cable being a shared BUS access you can see different scores at depending on traffic. I think you should be doing speed test when
you experince the problem to correlate the quality and test-results.

You might have to run a few more tests at different times.

Honestly this has me a little concerned

"Upload speed: 167256 bps"

If that's your worst then your probably ok. But I'd compare that to some other tests at various times.
