I have Charter internet with a Dlink DIR-655 router then the Dlink VTA phone adapter and I cant get my fax to work. I can switch back to my old Dlink DI-624 and it works fine. any ideas? any help would be greatly appreciated |

The DIR-655 contains a feature called Application Layer Gateway which is turned on by default. Turn this off for SIP. You will find a bunch of check boxes in the Firewall section of the setup page. Uncheck SIP, save the changes and then power cycle your D-Link router and your Vonage device. |

I tried that and now my faxes work perfect....Thank you so much for your help. I spent about 2 and half hours on the phone w/ Vonage tech support and they couldnt figure it out. Thanks again |

Thank you as well. I have dealt with this issue for weeks, while the Vonage Tech support people have tried everything. In the end, they had no idea how to resolve this issue.
