Hiya! Been going crazy with this since it's intermittent, but always at the MOST inopportune moments. For the 9 months I've been using Vonage, most times it's excellent, but often I get an amber Ready light on my VTech 8100-1. When it's amber, all I get when I try to dial out is a message that "This phone line can not register with the Vonage network". Sometimes when it's green, I try to dial out but get no response after the dialing sequence. Of course, I've tried the full reboot sequences on both my cable router and on the 8100. I have now tried changing the 8100 setup from a Dynamic to Static IP Address using the same address and subnet mask that were being issued under dynamic. So far, the Ready light remains green and the line is operating but I'm still holding my breath. I have run the Voip Speed Test from your sticky note and attached the results below. What is variable is the Quality of Service, so far the results vary from 2% to 22%. I've read the forum explanation of cable ISP Quality of Service and don't really think that should have anything to do with this amber light. Now my question is, should this low rating on QoS have anything to do with the intermittent amber Ready light and loss of connection? Thanks, Tom
