Voicemail to ans mach.?

Was wondering if your voicemail can be received on your phone's regular answering machine, like a traditional phone. Or if not is there some kind of indication that is displayed on the phone when you have new voicemail? Also can you share the phone line with a fax machine without having to purchase a seperate fax line?

If u have an external answering machine that u wish to use rather than the Vonage Voicemail, you simply need to log into your Vonage web account & disable or deactivate the Voicemail feature...and just the reverse if u want to use the Vonage Voicemail, just turn off your external answering machine.

voicemail indication on the phone depends on your phone. best way to see if it works is to just test it. as far as the fax line goes, you can share, and it works fine for many, but see these posts:
