Post subject: Problems with getting started
Hello Im new to this forum and Im also new to
Vonage
.
I have signed up for
Vonage
and my account is Active
I will give you guys my specs
I have the
Vonage
box that comes with three phones
I am using a dsl connection and my isp is Bellsouth/ATT
I am connecting the
Vonage
box to my Belkin cheapo wi-fi router I
havent had much problems with my router just a few disconects
I use the windows firewall in XP
Now everytime i follow the steps nothing happens with my
Vonage
box the power light just keeps blinking like when is looking for the service and when i turn on my handset it tells me that I have the phone connected to the wrong jack
I ve tried both phone jacks
I ve also tried plugging the
Vonage
box directly to my DSL modem ethernet port and still nothing happens
Can anybody give me any tips or give me some info
THX

Have you tried re-booting everything including the modem? Unplug everything. attach all etherent cords, then plug in the modem and wait. Once it is up completely, plug in the router, wait. Once up plug in
Vonage
. See if there is any change.

Please post the technical details listed in the sticky message at the top of the forum- particularly your network details. Which
Vonage
box is it? I'm not aware of one that comes with three phones.
