Hello all, I have 2 accounts with 2 numbers on each. I am not at home so I don't know what devices I have, however, the device on my main number is evidently one of the ones that have caller id problems. My device on the other account always works. I just want to swap these 2 devices between accounts. In other words, Account A has device A and account B has device B. I now want account A to have device B and account B to have device A. Account B is secondary and not important that the caller id work. I have tried for months to get them to do something about the caller id and it will work for a few calls and then go back to 50/50 incomplete data or showing the information. The device on account B always works and swapping them is the only answer I can come up with. However, I can't get anyone at Vonage that speaks english good enough to understand what I want to do. Can anyone offer any advice on how to go about getting these devices changed?

You can request tech support in the States for what you are trying to do if the language barrier is the problem. If you login to your Vonage web account, you can see where you can transfer a number to another device with an open port. This feature is located on the "Add-ons" tab "Move a number." I'm not really sure if you can do this from your Vonage web account because you need an open port on the other device. Vonage tech support should be able to assist you with what you are trying to accomplish.

If I understand things right, he not only has no empty ports, but he has the devices registered to different accounts. He'll definitely need cooperation from tech support.

Can he register each device's MAC address in the other's account and then switch them out? I believe you use the link at the home page for when you buy a new device or get a second one for traveling and add it to your list of devices, but then when you want to switch them you have to go into your account and tell the system which device is going to be used at the moment.
