I'm in NJ and have the problem seems to only be with this device

Very interesting that so many of us are having it right now.

I assumed mine just 'died', I went out and bought a freaking new wireless router tonight (sans vonage), and was planning on getting the standalone Vonage adapter.

Picked up a wireless N 8 antenna crazy thing, it's great, the other wireless devices in my house seem to be much happier, so even though I'm vonage-less, I guess there is a silver lining. Don't like the fact that a bug made me thing my rig was bad and caused me to purchase a new one though. I will be demanding Vonage give me the same rebate as new subscribers on the hardware I need to purchase.....

Sorry, nothing to add except that I'm experiencing the same problems in northern California. I too had assumed my router had "died." Symptoms started about 22 hours ago. Vonage tech support was unable to help at all (after a LONG hold and LOTS of troubleshooting). I'm hoping they figure this out VERY soon... Good luck, all!

A little bit of progress.... about 5 minutes straight with no loss of connection.....yet. still no dial tone though.

Edit: 10:33 pm PST. Connection on both wireless laptop and desktop still connected, NO connection reset so far......still no dial tone.....

Same problem here - no phone at all, same hardware WRTP54G, same rebooting. Very frustrating. Gave up on customer care after close to 30 min wait, guess everyone else was calling too. Must be the Valentines Day Linksys-Vonage Massacre.

Definately a big problem. Given the number of posts here I'm guessing its probably no use trying to call Customer Care again. The one guy who's working is probably tired of hearing the same thing from everyone.

Hey! I just realized the wired connection hasn't dropped for several minutes - and for the first time in 23 hours, I once again have a dial tone. At least for now, my issue seems to be resolved.

Perhaps there's hope?!

I have been experiencing the same symptoms since this morning the router resets itself every 5 - 10 minutes and have no phone line. I tried connecting via wireless, or through a ethernet connection and both get disconnected while using the Linksys router.

After spending about 1hr after waiting for 30 min on hold to get a technical support person at Vonage I was finally able to speak with a person in India who was quite helpful to semi - stabilize the internet connection. At least now it is not disconnecting every 10 min now but about every hour.

Basically the three things we did were

Return to factory settings on the router via your administration page. Then with a clip push the reset button, keeping it held for a minute, then while you keep pushing the buttong remove the power cord from the router, and keep it pressed for 30 seconds. After he made me wait for 3 min, while you unplug the cable modem, wait so it comes back up and plug back the linksys. You will most likely lose all your customizations but at least the connection is stable. However I still have no phone line.

The technical guy asked for my number and called back in 45 min, saying that they were having trouble with some Vonage servers so the router was not able to register on their servers and that their engineers were working on a patch for this. He also mentioned that in the system he had a message saying that a firmware update was sent out which was not completely installed or at least had no confirmation that it had gone through on my router.. But looking at my version it shows 1.00.62.. So my guess is they pushed a faulty patch on us and have no way to revert back.
