Quick question. I know Vonage has a 1800 feature for small businesses, and I'm looking into one of these. However, it is better (or even possible) to use Vonage in tandem with another product, something with better functionality? I'd like to have some kind of call routing system, and I'm not sure if V is the best way to go. |

Vonage is not a PBX, it is Voip. It does have a rather affordable 1800, although I've never used it. Not sure what you mean by "call-routing"; I've used Vonage with Gotvmail for about a year now without any issues -- ironically, some individuals though gotvmail was owned by Vonage originally -- that service allows calls to get forwarded to various extensions. But, gotvmail is an advanced voicemail provider, so that also may not be what you're looking for (PBX?). It's hard to tell. |

part of problem here is that Vonage has stopped supporting pbx applications. as a result, you will not get any help. moreover, Vonage does not disclose SIP info unless you get a soft phone acct. so that is also a difficulty. |
