Business Fax UK

Hi,
After reading up on the small business accounts (Plan 4) I noticed that a free fax line was included with business accounts:

Just before I placed my order I decided to call one of the "friendly" agents in the Philippines to discuss a couple of other options. She was adamant that this was NOT on offer and that I would have to pay extra. Even after explaining to her that it was clearly advertised on THEIR website she continued to repeat "like a robot" that it cost extra... Very frustrating and when I asked for a number in the UK she palmed me off with a number that took me straight back to Philippines to the same office!!!!

I understand the cost saving in outsourcing these call centres but service is definitely effected - especially for business customers who are willing to pay more...

Just thought I would let off a bit of steam and also warn anyone else who was thinking about signing up to this "offer".

Does anyone here have a contact email for someone in the UK?

I'm pretty sure you were misinformed by the agent. The fax line does come free with the account. When I got mine I just had to wait until I got my device from Vonage before I was issued my fax number.

One thing to keep in mind...fax machines were not developed for Voip. That's not to say they will not work with it, it just means you need a good stable internet connection (being able to browse web pages fine is not a good test of this) and you may need to change some settings on your fax machine itself.

If you have any questions about it I can let you know what I needed to do, it really wasn't that bad.
