I decided to run my own pbx server. most people here should already know, Vonage doesn't allow any custom hardware or software to be run with their service, so this forces me to switch to another provider. fine, my phone number is scheduled to me ported on the 7th of february. turns out, my billing cycle ends the day before and I'll be charged for a whole other month that wont be used even for a day. they wont give me a refund for unused service, and if I downgrade my account to the 500 minutes per month plan that is only $15 a month, they charge a $10 fee, bringing the total to the same amount I'd be paying anyway. this is complete BS. any suggestions?

is it possible they may be changing their tune in their second reply? either that, or they're trying to make me happy until after I'm billed and canceled, then screw me over.

the office I work in has a call center in it. from my past experiences, corporations rarely change their mind when it comes to refunds. why did Vonage promise me one? any comments? maybe they saw me posting on here.

I don't know, maybe it's because I just bought 2000 shares of VG stock, and now they can afford to buy a cup of coffee.
