I have tried everything and eiither cannot get phone to work or internet to work. I have a satellite modem connected to my linksys router. I've tried to connect the modem to the phone modem and then the router, and have tried to connect the satellite modem to the router to the phone modem. If I connect to the router then the phone modem, I don't have a phone, if I do it the other way I do not have internet access. I am at a loss. Here is the set up for one.
ethrnet cord from SM to router from router to computer, second ethrnet cord from router to phone modem. no phone
second set up. sm to phone modem to router and computer no internet service.
how do I correctly connect the satellite with the modem and the router to have access to both the phone, my laptop and the computer????

You posted this in the hard wiring forum. You will probably get a better response in the Voip forum. I can say that it's not recommended to use Vonage with satellite internet service. You can search the forums and find many examples of cases where it just doesn't work. Have you ever had the phone working in any of your configurations?

thanks I'll switch forums, to answer your question tho, I just got the phone where it will ring, and we can dial out. We can hear the other person, but they cannont hear us.... as far as the satellite, I was concerned about that, I wasn't thrilled to have it hooked up to it to begin with Very Happy
