I set up my Vonage phone service a few days ago, but still cannot access my voicemail. Whenever I enter my PIN, I receive a message saying "Invalid PIN". I am 100% that I am entering the correct PIN. I have even went to my account online and changed my PIN, but it still will not work. Any ideas? I would greatly appreciate any guidance given. Thanks in advance.

if you have change the voice mail pin and still getting the same error message, you have to call customer service, I think they might need to create a ticket for that one or something. |

My experience when I first switched to Vonage a few years ago was similar, and I THOUGHT it was a PIN problem. Turned out that I figured out that, at least to my mind, Vonage required VERY slow and VERY long touch tones. In other words, H O L D down the first number for an unusually long time (maybe 2 seconds), then pause for an unusualyl long time, then the next number, etc.
In other words, just make sure you go very slow and deliberate as you enter the numbers . . . not to make sure you are entering them correctly, but just because, at least in my experience, that works best with Vonage!

Thank you for the suggestions. I found out what the probem was even though the Vonage Help Desk was absolutely no help at all. My PIN was not preset to the one they emailed me when my account was set up. By trial and error I found out that it was preset to 1234. It took me a long time and some luck to figure this out. Thanks again. |
