steve, my network is -----> cable modem > wireless router > Vonage adapter > phone
tech, i did plug the multiple handset phones into my inlaws standard phone line last night and they work |

Despite the fact that you've tried changing channels, I think Ed56 had the right idea. Some 5.8 GHz phones actually use 2.4 GHz in one direction, and we've seen a lot of problems with wireless routers and 2.4 GHz phones in here. First try removing the wireless router. If that fixes the problem, put it back in, but disable its wireless function. If that still works, turn the wireless back on. If that breaks the system, then you've confirmed the problem. |

the most puzzling part of all this is....i have been using a vtech mi6897 multiple handset phone 5.8ghz with the wireless router since i installed Vonage with no problems. then all of a sudden about a week ago i lost dial tone in it. i plugges in the old 2.4 single handset and it works. ?????????? |

Puzzling, yes, but we've seen problems with wireless systems suddenly crop up before after the systems have been working for a long time. A number of times. |
