Post subject: RT31P2 Problems
I don't understand why
Vonage
cant get it right. I order the service 10 days ago and they are sending me a 3rd RT31P2 because of the annoying Hissing or Air sounds that I get when trying to use the phone. The first replacement was worse than the 1st, cant they simply plug in a phone and hear the freakin' noise. Then they wanted to charge me a $99 holding charge until they receive the other units back. This is not the way you do business and IMHO using Linksys gear is going to bite them in the you know where.
If the 3rd device is a bust I will be signing up with another provider and guess what they are cheaper.

There are other threads on this issue and you could have replied in one of those already here.
The only reason I wan't to leave
Vonage
would be due to their stupidity in sending somebody unit after unit when there is nothing wrong with it at all. Its just bad business period. The "air noise" is just a nuisance and the good things far out weigh this one specific issue. You will get used to the air noise and not realize it's there in time. Im not flaming here only stating the facts at hand. Give it time and soon they will get this issue solved too. I gotta bet those routers coming back to
Vonage
go right back out after they retest them.

I know of the other posts. Maybe you dont understand the fact that you cant talk on the damn phone because the noise is so loud, its not just a little noise its to the point that you cant hear the other person. My friend has 2
Vonage
lines with the same router and guess what no noise what so ever. Maybe you have one of the devices that has a little noise but I sure as hell do not and I expect that quality to be good and not poor. After all I have to pay for two lines until the LNP takes effect.

Wrong answer. It IS a hardware issue. Some RT31P2 suffer from the problem some don't. Some worse than others. You OBVIOULSY haven't experienced one with a worse problem.
Are you a Windows user? You seem to set your standards low.
